G Table
Created in collaboration with Cho Donghyun and GACHI Gallery, this table is defined by an inverted pyramidal base that anchors the object to the ground, transforming gravity into a structural element. Fabricated entirely from blackened steel and weighing over 250 kilograms, the table’s low center of gravity allows any load to be applied to a single end without tipping. The form appears precarious yet remains resolutely stable, an intentional tension between visual imbalance and physical immovability.
The blackened steel surface reveals marks left by heat, material, and the hand that shaped it, giving it a sense of depth and process. More than a functional object, the table challenges familiar ideas of balance and use, while maintaining a calm, grounded presence.
